No, you can address me as that now. I suppose it is more fitting. Though I'm sure upper society in England would be scandalized by it.

How did you end up with spiders? I admit I volunteered to work with the trolls. I'm used to the ones back in Eldritch.

I can't imagine why they would be scandalized, my lady. But then, I have never been to England. What is it like there?

They like me. It's...they have an affinity for me. Perhaps they think me as poisonous as they are.

England can be...good. But rarely kind. I scandalize upper society due to my lack of propriety. But it matters little, here.

Thank you. I would like to house a special project at your Spire. Given its remote location and distance from Seelie eyes, it is most suited. But understand this is a very hush-hush project. Can I count on you for secrecy and the ability to enforce it should any assigned to this project share their findings with our enemy?

With the most recent shardbearers to arrive, we have been gifted with many brilliant minds in the realm of technology, innovation and magic. I believe we should invest in research and development of melding technology and magic in ways that can be used outside of the Station. To that end, I am sending some of these shardbearers to your Spire to aid in finishing its construction and then begin research.

No, General. None at all. In fact... I may have insights of my own to add to the project. With your leave, of course. Am I to have any involvement in the project besides housing it?

But there is one thing that I have to ask, General. What, exactly, do you hope to gain from this project? Something to protect and better the lives of the people here? Or, something... else?

Whatever we can, Baron. Glamour is Free - Remember that. All we discover can be applied to a variety of things. I will not lie; some discoveries will be used for martial means.

We do have a war to fight. [Saber is the General, after all.]

I find so many of these places are different and yet the same.

But I will tell you of it, of course.

And war requires difficult choices. I understand this, General.

I will see to it there will be sufficient space to house the project that will connect with the spire but not directly part of it, built so that if anything goes wrong, it will cause the least possible damage to the spire and those residing there. It will have a single entrance through the spire, and only myself and those with clearance for the project will be able to pass through it. It will be well protected and, I hope, as fruitful as possible.

In return, I ask only that whatever comes out of it be used for the greater and necessary good. Some damages are unavoidable, yes, but the wanton destruction of innocents is something else entirely. I will not have something like that coming to reflect back upon me, as anything that comes out of there surely will, since it is my spire and potentially my work.

Do you find this to be fair?

Your words are fair and have been heard. Expect Hiro Hamada to arrive at your Spire soon. He is young, but gifted. Also, expect Sakura Matou. She is welcome to join the project, but I have asked her to venture to your Spire for protection, being far from the war.

Once I have gathered more to be part of this project, I will send them to you. There will also be a caravan of supplies from the Station arriving toward the end of the month. The locked boxes are for this project. The rest of the supplies are for your people.
